Don’t Dwell on the Past

Isaiah 43:18

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

For 25 years this scripture has stayed with me. I have often wondered about what new thing was God talking about now? We know that it pictures a new exodus for a people once again oppressed, as theIsraelites had been as slaves in Egypt before the exodus. They would cry to God, and again God would hear and deliver them. A new exodus would take place though a new desert. Past miracles were nothing compared to what God would do for God’s people in the future.

How about today? What is God up to now? What new thing will God bring to his people in 2019? What new thing will God bring to our city? I am praying for an awakening like the Welch Revival! I long to see and be apart of a great awakening of God’s people. Please stand with me in prayer for God to do a mighty work in Claremore OK, across the United States, and around the world.
